I’ve dedicated most of my creative activities during my last 30 years (while teaching at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY) to playwriting, directing and offering courses in the Theatre Arts–along with courses in Literature, Film, and Writing. In the past two years I have transitioned back to writing “literary” fiction. Within the last year, I finished drafting “Currencies of August,” a first-person novel told by a first-year college teacher who is challenged by the paradoxes and absurdities of his new profession. I am also at work on a woodland-ish children’s book and a novella told from multiple points of view. In April of 2016, my one-act play “Finger Lakes” will be part of a spring festival in my hometown of Rochester, New York.
