Nature of the Bones

by Bartleby Scriveners Assoc.

Freshman lawyer Joe Stone is appointed to represent an unconscious man likely to be charged with capital murder if he ever wakes up. Stone knows his awkward childhood nickname, “Blow”, will lose its innocence if he blows this case and sends his client to death row. He soon finds there’s more at stake, including the lives of his neighbors and friends when a New Jersey company seems determined to prevent officials from examining bones a company bulldozer uncovered clearing land for a controversial prison project. With two men already dead, Stone and his Secret Service-agent sister find their own bones on the line as the grizzly discovery turns their small Virginia community into a war zone.
