Michael Mardel has been writing and publishing school textbooks for about 10 years. In the last few years he has written 4 books for middle grade (age 10-13) and 2 (this year) for young adults. The textbooks include Sustainability in the 21st century, Music Walkabout, Psychology Walkabout, Library Walkabout (with another publisher), Grow your Own and Storyteller Walkabout. They are all black line masters, ready to be copied and given to the students. 3 of the middle grade stories are about a boy, Paul O’Leary who leaves Melbourne to live in Broome, 4,000 kms away in the north west of Australia. He returns to live on a farm then goes overseas for a holiday (some of my adventures. The 4th book is a collection of 10 short stories about Australia and migrants.
