We’re a small Romance publisher looking for a Project Manager who can begin to take over the day-to-day publishing process, and eventually help us grow. This is equals parts creative (managing the creative process) and organizational (managing promotions, marketing etc.). This will start as a part-time, hourly role but has the chance to grow into FT.

Here are the core responsibilities:

Manage Creative Process
You’ll manage the entire creative process behind each title. This includes:

– Conducting genre research based on current self-publishing trends.
– Creating compelling, creative titles that sell.
– Working with our designers to create attention-grabbing covers.
– Working with authors to create persuasive hooks and effective book descriptions.

Email Marketing
You will take over some of our daily email marketing efforts. Here are some tasks you will perform:

– Sending out promotional emails multiple times per week from each of our 12 author pen names.
– Create email campaigns to get the books into the hands of “advanced readers”.

Construct Marketing Materials
You will be tasked with handling some of our digital marketing webpages.
You’ll create and edit landing pages (basic webpages) from templates we have.
(Minimal Technical knowledge is needed for this.)

Manage Author Emails
Each day we get emails from fans of authors. You’ll need to answer these from the author’s voice, as well as deal with any questions that arise from readers.

Growth
Stay up-to-date on current self-publishing and marketing trends and locate opportunities for growth.

The ideal candidate has:
– Strong writing background
– Interest in digital publishing
– Interest in digital / email marketing
– Interest in Romance publishing is a plus
